Performance of an investment over a certain period
Performance statistics show the result of an investment over a certain period. The BVI offers such statistics for retail funds with a sales focus on Germany and for a variety of investment periods. The calculation is based on the BVI method and thus the time-weighted method, which is the customary approach for retail funds. Any distributions are immediately – notionally – reinvested in new investment fund units. This makes distributing and accumulating funds comparable.
Performance of one-off deposits
The starting point of the calculations is the unit value of the investment fund, i.e. the fund price without front-end loading. At the end of the overview regarding the “Performance of individual funds”, a formula shows how the result is calculated, including the front-end load.

Performance of savings plans
The savings plan results are based on a monthly contribution of € 100. The calculation is based on the unit offering price and thus takes into account the front-end load.
